They began publishing their own system, quickly converted to Dungeons & Dragons d20 system and became the primary publisher for Gary Gygax from 2001 until his passing in 2008. They are best known for their long-standing Castles & Crusades RPG which launched in 2004, continues to enjoy a wide following, and is presently on its 7th printing.

TLG publishes a small host of other RPGs, including Amazing Adventures, Victorious and Harvesters. Their long-standing world setting The World of Aihrde is supported by both RPG books and its own line of fantasy fiction.

Castle Keeper Hoyt Parris will be on-site to present scheduled demos of the flagship fantasy RPG, Castles & Crusades, on Friday and Saturday.

Castles & Crusades is a d20 rules-lite alternative to the world’s most popular fantasy RPG. Pre-generated characters will be provided, as well as Players Handbooks, custom-painted miniatures, pencils, paper, and dice if needed. GameMaster Hoyt Parris offers 40+ years of TableTop RPG experience, and brings three unique adventure opportunities for your heroes to enjoy:

Castles & Crusades
  • ‘Wild in the Streets’ is an entry-level Castles & Crusades adventure for both novice and experienced players. “Adventurers are recruited on a cold, dreary evening after a wagon crashes in the town square, unleashing several monsters onto the unsuspecting populace. Will the heroes be able to work together to recapture these bloodthirsty creatures or will they succumb to their fear of the unknown?”
  • ‘To Bite the Moon’ – Prepare yourselves for one of the most unique roleplaying challenges you’ve experienced with this 3rd-level Castles & Crusades adventure. “Those dastardly Gnolls have become more brazen, attacking caravans more frequently and with a new-found savagery. Following the most recent ambush, the adventurers are recruited by a dwarven courier to retrieve a pair of magical artifacts from the Gnoll lair in the nearby hills.”
  • ‘Honor Lost, Honor Regained’ is a 5th level Castles & Crusades adventure of intrigue and terror. “The adventuring party had been looking forward to a relaxing few days at the Apple Festival in the halfling community of Wistil, yet when they arrive, all that is found is a hastily abandoned village with spine-tingling clues leading to a ravine and a dark, dank cavern.”
