Interested in seeing your short story published in the Chattacon L programming book? Here is your chance. We are looking for 2,000-5,000 word speculative fiction stories. These stories must include elements of trains (trains themselves, train cars, train-like objects such as wagon trains or caravans).
The stories will be judged by the board of Chattacon. The first-place story will be awarded one (1) complimentary Chattacon LI badge and be published in the Chattacon L program book. Honorable mentions may be awarded and published in the program book. All accepted stories will be published on the Chattacon website.

- Body: Times New Roman, 12 point, double-spaced, left aligned, first line 0.5” indent
- Title: Times New Roman, 24 point, centered
- Author name: Times New Roman, 20 point, centered
- Stories must be between 2,000 and 5,000 words in length (not counting the title)
- Stories must contain trains or elements of trains
- Language, violence, and intimacy scenes conform to PG-13 levels
- One submission per author
- All submissions must be emailed to <secretary@chattacon.org> by 11:59 PM the 27th of December.
- Chattacon will retain publication rights from one year of submission of the story with all other rights remaining with the author.
- Chattacon will also retain non-exclusive republication rights for all accepted stories in perpetuity for promotional and charitable purposes.
